Travel guides tell us where to go, but rarely why someone chooses to return to the same place again and again. Eastbounder began with a simple question: if a friend were visiting your city for the first time, where would you take them?

We meet creatives in Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai and beyond. We listen to their lives and work, then follow them to the shops, streets and corners that truly accompany their everyday lives.

Places change and people move on, but the feelings created by an encounter should not disappear. Eastbounder preserves the bond between people and place, so that in an unfamiliar street we may discover a little of our own life.
