“Witch House just celebrated its 20th birthday with a music festival. Located in an alley near National Taiwan University, this small but important gig venue is a witness to the early days of many indie artists before they hit fame.”
This female-friendly cafe is the cradle of Taiwan’s indie artists. The interior decoration itself is quite a scene—bras hung on the chairs, naked women on the wall, posters of private parts can be seen everywhere in the cafe. As a witness to the rise of women’s rights, this place allows girls to sing their own songs, speak their own words and have fun until it becomes very late at night.
