Coffee Roasters is the only café within Taipei’s Yangmingshan National Park that sells boutique coffee. Living in Tienmu area, Hally Chen likes to ride his Vespa up Yangminigshan for a cup of coffee, enjoying the forest breeze along the way. Coffee Roasters is located right across the Shanzaihou police station; with its wide French windows and clean, all-white scheme, most often people fall in love for it at first sight. Although the café owner is young, she grew up right in the midst of Yangmingshan; in college, she majored in Food Technology and Processing and worked for famous coffee bean venders for many years straight out of college. Professionally trained, she roasts all the coffee beans used in the store by herself. Not only is the coffee great at Coffee Roasters, the interior also shows how much effort and thought went into its design and perfection: because the owner likes an all-white scheme, most of the furniture used in the store are light-coloured, even the electrostatic precipitator used for roasting coffee beans has a white-enamel coating. The store also recently bought new nitro cold brew coffee equipment in preparation for Yangmingshan’s summer season.
