Sucré Beans Coffee Roasters

To me, Sucré Beans does not feel like a coffee shop I set out to review. Sean, the owner, is my friend, so each visit feels more like stepping into a friend’s studio or sitting in his backyard.
Sean is meticulous and deeply attentive to detail. He has his own ideas about how beans should be roasted and brewed, which cup to use, and even how quickly the ice should melt. He is not trying to follow a trend. He keeps adjusting things in his own way until the coffee becomes the kind he truly wants to drink.
Sometimes he carries on working and brewing while I sit nearby. We talk about what we have been doing, and I taste whatever he has just made. There is little distance between owner and customer here. It feels like time between friends: one person concentrating on his work, the other keeping him company—sometimes talking, sometimes simply watching the time pass.
That is why I want to introduce Sucré Beans. It is not only because the coffee is good. Drinking coffee here is really a way of accompanying someone while he does what matters to him. The cup is part of his work, and part of the time we share as friends.
